There is a $350 entry fee and we are garranteed to play a minimum of 3 games.  I am aware that not everyone will be able to take part, but those who want to play in this tournament will see an extra $20 applied to their registration fee to cover this expense.

Obviously, we do have a game that evening but it should wrap up by 8:15 or 8:20 so it should be possible to get from Goldstick Park to the Clubhouse in time and Rob has told me they will hang a round a little bit longer for us.

There will be an open scrimmage this Sunday, September 11th, 2:30PM, at the clubhouse, just for fun - no drills or running.

Please remember to bring your gold jersey AND your striped jersey because I need all of those back - they belong to the club. The third jerseys with your names on them are yours to keep and if anyone doesn't have theirs yet you can collect them on Sunday.

If you can't make it Sunday please arrange to give your jerseys to someone who is attending.

Lastly, if you have any friends who might want to play, or who be looking for a team for next season, they're certainly welcome to come out and join us on Sunday as this scrimmage is also open to anyone who might be looking for a spot on our roster this fall.

The Passing Of Akbar Houston-Reece - Posted Saturday, August 14th, 2010

It is with great sadness we have received news of the tragic death of our former team-mate Akbar Houston-Reece following a burst appendix and subsequent heart attack.  Akbar was a gentle giant who always saw the lighter side of things and always made us laugh, even in the toughest situations.  A genuine and sincere friend to all, it is a profound understatement to say he will be sorely missed.

Our sincere condolences go out to the Reece family for their loss.

Funeral services for Akbar will be held this Thursday, 11:00AM, at the Mill Woods Pentecostal Assembly.

A reminder that this Saturday is Juventus Merchandise day.  As I have explained at past practices, your black shorts as well as your white socks & black socks, will be provided for you so you don't need to buy them.

If however you are interested in picking additional shorts or socks, or of you are interested in white shorts, track suits, backpacks, bags, sweatshirts or any number of other items, this is your chance to pick them up.

Be aware that many items sell out quickly so your best chance of getting what you want is to be there early.

With team fee cheques coming in we have now submitted registration forms and cheques to the first 3 of the 4 tournaments we will be entering (Duggan, Saskatoon & Kelowna) and we have submitted and paid for our first ASA travel permit as well.  Once we receive the rest of the team fees we will register for our final tournament of the season (Sherwood Park) and will submit the request and pay for our Kelowna travel permit.  For a list of the tournaments and the dates they will take place, please see the "Schedule" page.

We still haven't received very many of your team fee cheques. These funds are specifically for the operation of our team.  They pay for such things as this website, our banking fees, ASA out-of-province travel permit fees, various team specific equipment, special training and, most immediately, our registration fees for the 4 tournaments we are entering. We need these funds to get on with the business of running our team so could you please bring your cheques to the next practice. ( $295 payable to "JUVENTUS '93 BOYS" )
